Damian Kaltoum of TCREM Real Estate Merrylands predicts that the Cumberland area will continue to see a price-sensitive property market this winter.

“It’s definitely a market driven by price,” Kaltoum explained. “There are opportunities out there, and I believe winter will bring a bit more choice for buyers. We’re seeing strong momentum, with a healthy number of properties being listed for June, July, and August.”

Kaltoum also believes that the recent interest rate cut will boost confidence for both sellers and buyers.

“In over 35 years in real estate, we’ve never seen people so reactive to interest rate news. These movements now carry more weight than ever before.”

While no single suburb across Cumberland stands out as the top choice, Kaltoum notes that well-renovated homes and new builds are attracting the most attention.

“Buyers are leaning towards turnkey properties where the costs are clear. Instead of taking on renovations and unpredictable expenses, they’re going for homes that are well-presented and ready to move in. These are the properties performing best right now.”
