The Australian Arab Business Council kicked off 2023 with a highly successful dinner meeting. Over 120 guests gathered to hear a captivating presentation by Nass Aoun, CEO and founder of Flexi Africa. The evening was opened by outgoing Vice President and incoming Vice Secretary George Bousamra, who welcomed the guests and invited the organisation’s public officer to conduct the Annual General Meeting, which resulted in the election of a new board.

Mr. Radwan Hamdan was elected as the incoming president, with Mr. Hassan Moussa serving as secretary and Clr. Hassan Awada as treasurer. Ms. Jenan Issa was elected as vice president and Mr. George Bousamra was elected as Vice Secretary, along with other board members, including the author representing Oz Arab Media.
After the formalities were completed, Mr. Nass Aoun took the stage and shared his insights on the African continent’s economic landscape, emphasizing the untapped potential of E-commerce and the importance of investing in Africa. Following his presentation, Nass answered questions from the attendees.
Later in the evening, President Hamdan invited Mr. Ehab Matar, a member of the Lebanese parliament residing in Sydney, to address the audience. Mr. Matar spoke about the situation in Lebanon and related matters.

The evening concluded with ample opportunities for networking, setting the AABC on a great trajectory for the year ahead.
