Savannah Guthrie has made her return to NBC’s Today show, expressing gratitude to her co-anchors and viewers during a challenging time as the search for her missing mother persists. According to BBC News, this marks her first appearance in the studio since January 30, just two days before her 84-year-old mother, Nancy Guthrie, was reported missing.

During her return, co-anchors noted the presence of fans outside the studio, welcoming her back with signs. Guthrie responded, saying, “I’m really feeling the love.” Investigators believe that Nancy Guthrie, who was last seen on January 31, was taken from her home near Tucson, Arizona, but have yet to disclose a motive or identify a suspect.

Wearing a bright yellow dress as a tribute to the yellow ribbons and flowers left at her mother’s home, Savannah carried on with the news, discussing various topics including the Artemis moon mission and NCAA basketball finals. NBC forecaster Al Roker also welcomed her back with a warm gesture, blowing her a kiss on air.

Guthrie had stepped away from her anchoring duties and NBC’s Winter Olympics coverage following her mother’s disappearance. In a previous interview, she mentioned the importance of returning to work, stating, “I can’t not come back. This is my family.” The family has offered a $1 million reward for information regarding Nancy’s return, as the search continues to raise unanswered questions.
