Police and stewards formed a barricade between the two groups to restore order. Fortunately, the disorder settled down relatively quickly, with fans returning to their respective stands without further incident.

This match marked a significant moment as it was the first time Celtic supporters were allocated the full Broomloan Stand at Ibrox since 2018, when their allocation was reduced to fewer than 1,000. Traditionally, around 7,500 Celtic fans filled the stand for Old Firm derbies, but away allocations have fluctuated in recent years due to a series of tit-for-tat moves between the clubs.
