Political scientist Moussaoui Ajlaoui paraphrased the Moroccan minister by estimating that international support constitutes a “ strong message ” to the authorities of Algiers so that they engage, as strongly desired by the UN, in the political settlement of this conflict on the basis of autonomy, “ the one and only credible solution to resolve the Moroccan Sahara affair under national sovereignty ”.

“ Morocco also calls on the special envoy of the UN Secretary General for the Sahara Staffan de Mistura to remind him that Rabat has adhered to and accepted all the resolutions of the UN Security Council concerning the political settlement of this issue on the basis of the autonomy project ,” underlined researcher Moussaoui Ajlaoui.
