The Coptic Church in Harare, the capital of Zimbabwe, witnessed a baptism ceremony for six individuals from the local community. This event took place under the auspices of His Grace Bishop Joseph, the Bishop of the Namibia, Botswana, Malawi, and Zimbabwe Diocese. The ceremony was held during the Divine Liturgy on Saturday morning, March 28, at the Church of the Virgin Mary and St. Samuel the Confessor in the Epworth suburb.

In attendance were Father Bishoy Ramzy, the church priest, and Father Michael, the priest of St. Mark the Evangelist Church in Dema. During his sermon, Bishop Joseph spoke about the significance of Great Lent, the Sunday of the Blind Man, the importance of repentance, and spiritual enlightenment in the life of a believer.

Following the Peace Prayer, Bishop Joseph performed the ordination rite for seven new deacons, elevating them to the rank of Ipsaltis. The church organized an Agape Feast to celebrate the newcomers to the Coptic Church and the newly ordained deacons, filling the atmosphere with joy among the church community.
