According to BBC News, Australia’s Lucas Herbert swept to victory at the LIV UK event in Staffordshire, finishing six shots clear of England’s Tyrrell Hatton. Herbert closed with a 10-under 62 at JCB Golf and Country Club in Rocester to reach 30-under overall.

The 30-year-old led throughout the tournament and began the final round with a three-shot advantage over Bryson DeChambeau. Herbert’s 62 was the round of the day and delivered the lowest 72-hole total in LIV’s five-year history. The world number 69 recorded his second LIV victory of 2026.

Hatton, winner of the previous LIV event in Andalucia, shot a final-round 63 to finish on 24-under. American DeChambeau was third on 21-under, with Cameron Smith fourth on 17-under. Caleb Surratt and Abraham Ancer shared fifth place on 14-under.

Herbert had tied for sixth at the Open Championship at Royal Birkdale last week, four shots behind champion Ryan Fox. “I just wanted to carry that into this week the best I could,” Herbert said. Hatton said: “It would have been amazing to win in front of home fans, but I tried my best. Lucas was incredible this week.”
