A source close to Hamas told AFP the handover of US-Israeli captive Edan Alexander, who has been held in Gaza since October 2023, would “most likely” take place after 14:00 GMT on Monday.

“The Red Cross has been informed of the scheduled time and specific location for the handover of the Israeli-American hostage Edan Alexander. The handover will most likely take place after 5pm (1400 GMT) today, and the location is expected to be in Khan Younis, in the southern Gaza Strip,” the source said.
