Explosions reported in Tehran as Israeli raid hits radar site

Two loud blasts were heard in Tehran on Tuesday, Iranian media outlets Mizan and Shargh have reported, just hours after a ceasefire between Iran and Israel was declared.

Despite US President Donald Trump earlier insisting that “Israel is not going to attack Iran” and that “all planes will turn around and head home,” Israeli Army Radio reported that its forces struck an Iranian radar installation near the capital.

Trump’s remarks came via a post on Truth Social in which he said Israeli jets would perform a “friendly ‘Plane Wave’ to Iran,” and no one would be harmed.

Trump phoned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and urged him not to carry out an attack on Iran, according to a post by an Axios reporter on X, citing an Israeli official.

Netanyahu reportedly told Trump he couldn’t call off the operation. The Israeli leader is said to have assured Trump the assault would be limited in scope – targeting only a single site rather than a broader set of Iranian facilities.
