Egypt has held a conference to discuss the reconstruction of Gaza’s healthcare system. The meeting was attended by over 100 ambassadors, government representatives and NGOs.

Israeli attacks have systematically targeted Gaza’s health facilities since it launched its war on the enclave in October 2023. OCHA estimated that out of its 36 hospitals only 17 remained partially functional by early December 2024.
