Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds, and peace and blessings be upon our Master Muhammad, the Trustworthy, along with his ‘al and companions. As we bid farewell to the month of Rabi^ al-Awwal, our hearts long for the Messenger of Allah.
A new journey begins—Umrah, a sacred pilgrimage that allows us to visit our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. This journey is filled with goodness and blessings, opening doors for repentance.
Many Muslims feel the desire to perform this blessed Umrah, traveling from all over the world—by land, air, and sea—toward the Holy Lands of Hijaz. They gather around the Ka^bah, praising and glorifying Allah, all united in the hope of gaining rewards.
Following this, they journey to Madinah to visit our Master Muhammad ﷺ, who illuminated the darkness with his guidance.
Greetings are sent to Taiba, the city of the Prophet, cherished by every visitor and worshipper.
We pay our respects at the grave of our Master Muhammad ﷺ, the best of creation and a guiding light for humanity.
What a joyous moment it is to depart from loved ones, heading to Makkah—the heart of faith and the land most beloved to Allah. From here, the call of truth resonated, spreading the light of guidance and dispelling darkness. It is from this sacred place that the legacies of conquest and faith arose, illuminating the world through the teachings of the Qur’an.
Visiting the grave of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, is highly recommended and recognised by scholars as a virtuous act.
He our Master Muhammad ﷺ said, “Whoever visits my grave will receive my intercession.” (Narrated by Ad-Daraqutni, authenticated by Al-Hafiz As-Subki). He also stated, “Between my grave and my pulpit is a garden from the gardens of Paradise.” (Narrated by Al-Bukhari and others).
O best of those resting in the valley, whose essence brings fragrance to the earth, my soul is a sacrifice for your grave, which embodies purity and kindness.
You are the intercessor whose plea is sought on the Day of Judgment. I will always remember your companions, sending peace upon you as long as time flows.
For those who wish to obey Allah through the rituals of Hajj and Umrah, it is essential to learn their rules before embarking on this journey. Many people, driven by their longing, travel without understanding the rites, leading to confusion and uncertainty about how to perform Umrah correctly.
Recently, Darulfatwa in Australia organised a blessed Umrah trip under the leadership of Sheikh Dr. Salim Alwan. Upon returning safely, participants were honored with a celebration, where certificates of appreciation were awarded. We pray for the success of all pilgrims, that their deeds are accepted, their efforts appreciated, and their sins forgiven.
In these times of separation and adversity, we are called to foster cooperation, solidarity, and support one another, asking Allah to relieve the oppressed and grant them victory over their oppressors.
