This year, the Lions Club of Canterbury Bankstown participated in the Australia Day Pool Party at Roseland Pools on January 26, 2023. The club collaborated with the Riverwood Community Centre and the Council of the City of Canterbury Bankstown to make the event a success.

One of the main contributions of our club was in cooking and serving over 550 sausage sandwiches to event attendees. The club worked hard to ensure that everyone who attended the event had a chance to enjoy a delicious and traditional Australian meal. Despite that, attendance was overwhelming, and the club ran out of sausages in record time.

More than ten Lions members, family members, friends, and kids lent a helping hand in cooking or serving the sandwiches for the club to be able to handle the great demand.

Overall, The Lions Club of Canterbury Bankstown’s participation in Australia Day celebration at Roseland Pools not only helped to make the event a success, but also showcased the club’s commitment to serving their community. The collaboration with the Riverwood Community Centre and the council of the city of Canterbury Bankstown helped to ensure that the event was a memorable one for all who attended.
