عام 1998، قال لي شهيد لبنان الكبير الرئيس رفيق الحريري إنّ البنية التحتية في لبنان كلّفت الخزينة خمسة مليارات دولار وهي تتضمّن:

1- إعادة إعمار القصر الجمهوري.

2- إعادة إعمار المطار وتوسعته، حتى صار يَسْتَوعب خمسة ملايين مسافر سنوياً، واليوم نقول: ليت الرئيس الحريري يعود، ليبني مطاراً يستوعب 15 مليون مسافر سنوياً…

3- إعادة إعمار القصر الحكومي، وزيادة طابق على كامل مساحة القصر.
