Registrations are now open for the 2025 Beachside Dash and Family Fun Run, to be held at Depena Reserve, Dolls Point, on Sunday, 14 September 2025.
The Beachside Dash features professionally timed 10km, 5km and 2km races suitable for all ages and abilities. Participants can enjoy a day filled with family entertainment and a delicious barbecue and free kids activities.
This event is a fantastic opportunity to run, jog or walk while raising funds for medical research at St George and Sutherland Hospitals.
Cash prizes will be on offer for the top finishers in the 10km (1st place: $750, 2nd place: $250 and 3rd place: $100) and 5km race (1st place: $300, 2nd place: $150 and 3rd place: $75).
Additionally, all participants will receive a medal, and there are exciting prizes for our top fundraising school. You can set up a fundraising page on the Dash’s Go Fundraise page and encourage your family and friends to donate to SSMRF.
New 2km Corporate Cup Challenge
In 2025, the Beachside Dash introduces the inaugural Corporate Cup Challenge, a 2km team event designed to bring businesses, hospitals, and community groups together for a fun and friendly competition. Teams of three or more are invited to race in their corporate colours, uniforms or creative costumes and take to the track to compete for bragging rights and celebrate community spirit. It’s a light-hearted way for workplaces to support a serious cause, funding vital medical research through SSMRF.
School Cup Challenge
Registrations are also open for the School Cup Challenge, a competition within the Beachside Dash and Family Fun Run. This is an excellent opportunity for primary school children to represent their schools. The winning school will be awarded a perpetual School Cup Challenge trophy and a cash prize of $500.
To participate in the School Cup Challenge:
- Students must be in years K–6.
- A minimum of three students from each school must register and participate in the 2km Dash event.
- Participants must nominate their school during registration.
