Why this march matters

Sweida and other Syrian minorities have endured years of violence, displacement and repression. Organisers say their voices are being silenced and their rights denied. This march is a call for Australians—and the international community—to stand in solidarity and to act.

What the march calls for

  • An end to atrocities: Stop the ongoing genocide and the systematic targeting of Syrian minorities.
  • Truth and accountability: Exert urgent pressure to uncover the fate of abducted women and secure their immediate release.
  • Freedom and justice: Demand the release of all detainees and kidnapped individuals across Syria.

A peaceful demonstration

The rally is family-friendly and strictly peaceful. Participants are encouraged to bring signs, wear comfortable shoes, carry water, and be respectful of fellow marchers and the public. Marshals will be on hand to assist, and attendees are asked to follow any directions from organisers and authorities.

Add your voice
