According to ABC News, the New Zealand Warriors defeated Brisbane 40-6, but half Luke Metcalf and Broncos fullback Reece Walsh both left the field injured. Metcalf clutched his right hamstring after converting the Warriors’ third try, while Walsh was hurt in a hip-drop tackle that sent Warriors fullback Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad to the sin bin.

The third-placed Warriors drew level on competition points with second-placed Penrith and have won five of their past six games. They led 20-0 at half-time after tries involving Jacob Laban and Chanel Harris-Tavita. Nicoll-Klokstad, Dallin Watene-Zelezniak and Leka Halasima also crossed, while Alofiana Khan-Pereira scored after Walsh threw an intercept. The Warriors could need Luke Hanson next week, with Te Maire Martin and Tanah Boyd also unavailable through injury.

Parramatta kept the top-eight race alive with a 32-30 win over North Queensland at CommBank Stadium. With scores level at 30-30 and four minutes remaining, Mitch Moses ran the ball on the last tackle, was ankle-tapped by Heilum Luki and spilled it forward. After a review, the bunker found Tom Chester had collected Moses in the head, resulting in a late penalty. Moses had three try assists, while Ronald Volkman scored and set up a Josh Addo-Carr try.

Canberra beat Cronulla 24-20, denying the Sharks an opportunity to return to the top four and leaving the Dolphins in fourth spot with three rounds before the finals. Sharks playmaker Braydon Trindall suffered a dislocated shoulder less than 10 minutes into the match. Cronulla had a late chance when replays appeared to show Ronaldo Mulitalo grounding the ball for a match-levelling try, but the bunker upheld referee Gerard Sutton’s on-field no-try call.
