According to Cnbc, Meta is set to report earnings after the market closes Wednesday, with Kalshi traders expecting the company’s conference call to emphasize cloud and Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses rather than social media policy debates.

In Kalshi’s “mentions market,” where traders speculate on whether specified words will be used during a call or speech, management has a 91% chance of saying “cloud.” Bloomberg reported earlier this month that Meta was developing a cloud infrastructure business to sell access to raw computing power.

Traders assigned a 74% chance that Meta will say “Ray-Ban,” the smart-glasses partner referenced in the company’s Ray-Ban Meta products. Meta debuted a new lower-priced smart-glasses model last month, developed with Ray-Ban parent EssilorLuxottica.

The odds of Meta discussing chips through use of the word “silicon” stand at 61%. By contrast, traders gave just a 25% chance that the company will mention “Hyperion,” the name of its data-center project in rural Louisiana.

Kalshi traders also see limited likelihood of discussion about social media policy. The chance that Meta will mention “age verification” is 15%, while the likelihood of using either “prediction market” or “Kalshi” is 20%. Reports in June said Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg directed staff to build a prediction-market platform, and NPR later reported that Meta had at one point discussed acquiring Kalshi. CNBC and Kalshi have a commercial relationship that includes customer acquisition and a minority investment.
