In a historic achievement for the first time ever, the Egyptian hajj mission has been awarded the Silver Shield of Saudi Arabia’s “Labbaytum” Excellence Award for services to the Guests of Allah in the category of Hajj Affairs Offices.
The Assistant Minister of Interior for Administrative Affairs sector and head of the executive body of the ministerial hajj committee said in exclusive statements to the Middle East News Agency (MENA) correspondent in the Holy Lands on Saturday that the Egyptian hajj mission’s achievement reflects the extensive efforts made by the three specialized hajj missions—Public Lottery, Social Solidarity, and Tourism—in serving pilgrims, thereby projecting the civilized image of Egypt.
He attributed the award to the unprecedented cooperation and coordination among the heads of the three missions in meeting all the needs of Egyptian pilgrims, in addition to their strong focus on guidance and awareness programs aimed at educating pilgrims about the key regulations and requirements of hajj rituals.
He explained that the Egyptian hajj mission earned the Silver Shield due to its strict adherence to the timetable established for Hajj Affairs Offices.
