The Pan African Head of Secretariat from the AU ECOSOCC, Mr. William Carew, emphasised the critical role of civil society in advancing Agenda 2063 and holding Pan African parliamentarians accountable. During the second dialogue with civil society, Mr. Carew highlighted the importance of inclusiveness and public participation, calling for deeper collaboration. He shared these insights on the Pan African X handle, formerly known as Twitter. The organisation recognises the pivotal role civil society plays in shaping attitudes towards eliminating corruption across the continent.

The primary mandate of the Pan African Parliament (PAP) is to ensure the effective participation of African people in AU decisions and policy-making processes. This mandate aims to provide equal opportunities for all African citizens, civil society, and the African diaspora.

Pan-Africanism is a worldwide movement that organically aims to encourage and strengthen bonds of solidarity between all indigenous people and Africans in the diaspora. The movement extends beyond continental Africans, garnering substantial support. It traditionally believes that unity is vital to economic, social, and political progress and seeks to unify and uplift people of African ancestry.
