On the evening of 24 November 2022, Clr Khal Asfour, the Mayor of Canterbury Bankstown held his Christmas party at the Canterbury League Club in Belmore. All funds raised during the party would go to the Salvation Army Bankstown and Campsie branches.
During the event, which was attended by over 200 guests including Councilors, Members of Parliament, Media, and their families and friends, Mayor Khal Asfour addressed the audience and touched on a few points, the most important of which was thanking the guests for standing by him despite the recent political attacks launched at him.
In his short speech, the Mayor also mentioned that this would probably be his last Christmas Party as the Mayor of Canterbury Bankstown as he has been endorsed by the Party for a seat in the Upper House next year. He reassured the attendees that he would use his new position to continue to improve the City as well as the state.
Oz Arab Media thanks Mayor Khal Asfour for his invitation and wishes him all the best for a stellar career. We also wish him and his family a very Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year.
