JEDDAH: Officials from the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the EU have met to discuss humanitarian cooperation. Their main focus was on activities in Afghanistan, the Sahel, the Horn of Africa, the Rohingyas of Myanmar and the Middle East.

The OIC delegation was led by Tarig Ali Bakheet, the assistant secretary-general for humanitarian, cultural and social affairs and special envoy for Afghanistan.

Michael Kohler, deputy director general of the European civil protection and humanitarian aid operations, led the European side.
